interesting adventure that I lived in Montreal for a week.
I met great people, starting with those that have made me company during the three meetings held in the beautiful city Quebec: the teachers Maria Predelli and Filippo Salvatore , and the irresistible Chris Cooper that well as performing a consultancy work for companies in environments and quite alien to me, threw himself with professionalism and fun even in the crazy business of translating along with Erika Papagni my Dante for the American market. And there he delighted in his own way showing the difficulties you're having to make the American public to understand the word games and even the onomatopoeia of my strips too Italic.
The meetings were held, in order, the Italian Cultural Institute, the Centre Leonardo da Vinci, and Concordia University. There has been talk dell'Alighieri and his Divine Comedy, my version and comic strips in general. The audience was very amused by the unusual subject, but also very curious and interested. At the end of the speeches, the questions were many and always on time, and in all three cases, there have occurred due to closing time for the hunt of salt.
pity that the party is not just Erika Papa, who was the creator of such conferences and the main organizer. A terrible ear infection has unfortunately stuck in Rome: the flight the plane would risk the eardrum!
Although orphan of my "guide" (Mary and Philip have replaced to the extent possible, and thank them again for their kindness and availability) in the company of my daughter Serena I the opportunity to visit the length and breadth of Montreal, a city very pleasant and relaxing, although it is difficult to identify the soul. Daughter of all the immigration that have been the essence and the population, is home to architectural works of dubious taste like a copy of the Parisian cathedral of Notre Dame and a version of our sixteenth in St. Peter's Basilica in Rome! Next to the French the official language (with its chauvinistic signs " arrêt " instead of the now international "stop") proliferate and infiltrate the English, Chinese, Italian and who knows what else. But perhaps the soul of the city is the sum of its souls, mix well, apparently living with a serenity that we dreamed of. In the streets, metro and local, perhaps because of his vocation education (four universities, two French and two English-speaking, with endless campus), Montreal Sports friendships and loves serenity multilingual and multi-ethnic make me look even more rude and intolerable nostrani leaguers ready to hide behind green shirts and ties to defend an unsustainable and non-existent "racial purity" valley.
Lots of curiosity that, 'provincial' a bit disoriented, Serena and I have noted with amusement, beginning with the mysterious road sign that we call "no more cherries," to "account down "of many traffic lights at pedestrian crossings, the very useful "forecasts of pollen" aired on a local network dedicated exclusively to the weather.

Just to conclude this year of the great forty-Dante, who had just returned home I found an invitation to the Book Fair to be held in Istanbul November.
