A Middle Ages .. very current

This is a satirical panel on Italian politics and occupies half a page of the beautiful and impressive (same format Fumo di China , centimeter, centimeter less) Montréal publication.

For the occasion, I dusted off my old idea, that de the Worse Evo , satirical strip appeared on the homonymous magazine "Test" published by my publisher Ned 50 back in March 1996 and not gone beyond the no

The lanky comic, in addition to my strip which had as its protagonist (alas, even then) Silvio Berlusconi and supporting actors Prodi, D'Alema and company changes, also containing two pages dell'ortolaniana "it works" and the tasty Lippo Topo of Giuliano Piccininno .

In the new version (above you can see a couple of cartoons reassembled for the blog), the worst-Ages subtitle: Reports from the Kingdom of Berlusconi stages the "adventures" of King Silvio and benefits of color. Small historical transition, it is also my first cartoon where lettering is not handmade, but with characters from the computer.

The first table will appear in the September-October number of PanoramItalia .

Which Paper Towel Is The Strongest?

Allegra Rimini

It was particularly pleasing for me this year's edition of Riminicomix . In addition to the usual affection and sympathy of the band from Rimini, Paolo Guiducci Valentina Semprini (faaaaantastica and daughter Micaela) Sabrina Zanetti, and the group of employees of China smoke from Cantarelli to Antonazzo to Matteuzzi, this year Serena my daughter and I have enjoyed the company of joy and Andrea Fornasiero of Film TV e di Stefano Babini (sulla cresta dell'onda per l'ottimo successo del suo “Non è stato un picnic!”, di cui si parla qualche post più indietro).
Apart from a first day characterized by its a stuffy, the atmosphere was pleasant. I will not make the list of the many beautiful and original exhibitions organized by the band's Cartoon Club, nor that of the crowded meetings. And because you can find all the news sites on the event, and because, if there was, by now you've missed them!
humanly engaging as ever meetings with fans young and old come to be doing drawings and dedications during the morning sessions of "Comics on the Beach" this year at the transmigrate Bath 34 Marina Center. Palma of sympathy to the young Perugia (but born in Assisi) I can not remember the name (Mark?) that, once he gets his picture taken in costume as a soldier of ancient Rome, took me to see a strip of his own creation entitled "Dog tired". Hilarious. Shame not to have a copy to be published here. A few more years, and I will make a fierce competition! The beach
dedications were also an opportunity to review some friend and colleague, the couple Memola -March, the author of the manifesto of 2010 Riminicomix Francesca Da Sacco in bold Mauro Masi, and make new knowledge, such as dampyriani Cropera and Michael Fabiano Ambu . And to strengthen the knowledge with the young and talented (and nice and funny) Luca Giorgi, who wanted me to do homage to the great Dante "in his own way" that you see above. I thank him also for allowing my seven readers to enjoy the result of his hard work, inviting them to discover his other talents on his Facebook page.

ZigZagor? Talk turkish

Another son who goes to seek his fortune abroad!
No, I'm not talking of emigration due agl'italici employment problems, but my other comic, after the story, "Luna Garretville in full "which appeared years ago on the English magazine Cairo and the volume of Hell Dante published in Norway, facing the trial of an issue abroad. This time it's my little book dedicated to the parody strip Zagor and appeared in Italy for the types of Cartoon Club ZigZagor has attracted the attention of the publisher turkish Senses Emre who has decided to propose to his country under the trademark Roman of 1001, publishing house specializing in comics and comic essays. In Turkey
Zagor is a person of success, such as to justify the publication of my little humorous reading. Emre, viewing the material that I sent him for publication, opted for the cover I had originally designed (you can see above), replaced by the next edition Italic admiration at the bottom of this post.
I'm curious to see the inside of the publication, which I receive directly from the hands of a few months when Emre will host the Istanbul Book Fair along with other Italian composer of the caliber of Laura Scarpa , Moreno Burattini and Tito Faraci . And, if there is time, I will also explain how our Turkish friends have managed to translate my puns and jokes related to the Italian cultural reality, certainly not an easy task!
